چکیده
This study investigated the larvicidal activity on Culex quinquefasciatus of lectin purified from fresh fruiting bodies woodland mushroom, Agaricus semotus. A. semotus (ASL) was via ion-exchange chromatography DEAE-cellulose A-25 and size exclusion Sephadex G-100 matrix. Molecular weight (16.6 kDa) estimated by sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE). The effects temperature, pH, metal chelation- ASL were also investigated. indifferently agglutinated erythrocytes human ABO blood system stable at acidic pH below 50 °C whereas 66% its lost 60 with complete inactivation 70 °C. is a metalloprotein requiring barium ion as chelation metals mM EDTA rendered inactive, while addition BaCl2, among other salts, restored activity. showed against C. larvae after 24 h mortality 5 95% 25 mg/mL respectively, LC50 13.80 mg/mL. concluded that impressive activity, which could be exploited in development an insecticidal agent.

In Silico Study to Develop a Lectin-Like Protein from Mushroom Agaricus bisporus for Pharmaceutical Application.
A lectin-like protein of unknown function designated as LSMT was recently discovered in the edible mushroom Agaricus bisporus. The protein shares high structural similarity to HA-33 from Clostridium botulinum (HA33) and Ricin-B-like lectin from the mushroom Clitocybe nebularis (CNL), which have been developed as drug carrier and anti-cancer, respectively. These homologous proteins display the a...

in the past couple of decades sociocultural theory of sla and its implications in efl contexts have attracted attentions of research circles worldwide and aroused some controversies. firth and wagner (1997) have questioned the principles of the cognitive view which gives importance to mental constructs in favor of sociocultural view which highlights social and contextual constructs. but if soci...
15 صفحه اولA meiotic DNA polymerase from a mushroom, Agaricus bisporus.
A meiotic DNA polymerase [DNA nucleotidyltransferase (DNA-directed), EC 2.7.7.7], which likely has a role in meiotic DNA repair, was isolated from a mushroom, Agaricus bisporus. The purified fraction displays three bands in SDS/PAGE, at molecular masses of 72 kDa, 65 kDa and 36 kDa. Optimal activity is at pH 7.0-8.0 in the presence of 5 mM Mg2+ and 50 mM KCl and at 28-30 degrees C, which is the...

A phytohemagglutinin has been isolated in 80 to 90% purity from the mushroom Agaricus campestris. This protein had a sedimentation constant of 4.2 S and an electrophoretic mobility, at pH 8.6, remindful of the properties of a fast y-globulin. It was a nonspecific agglutinin reacting with erythrocytes and leukocytes from a number of species. The hemagglutination reaction was independent of tempe...
متن کاملEffect of polyvalencies of glycotopes on the binding of a lectin from the edible mushroom, Agaricus bisporus.
Agaricus bisporus agglutinin (ABA) isolated from edible mushroom has a potent anti-proliferative effect on malignant colon cells with considerable therapeutic potential as an anti-neoplastic agent. Since previous studies on the structural requirement for binding were limited to molecular or submolecular levels of Galbeta1-3GalNAc (T; Thomsen-Friedenreich disaccharide glycotope; where Gal repres...
